It’s back to school season for many of us and what better way to celebrate than to have a blog hop! I am so happy to announce that I have joined The Primary Pack Blog! I am so blessed to collaborate with all of these amazing teachers.
Our hop is a 3…2…1… BACK TO SCHOOL BASH because each member of The Primary Pack will be giving you 3 teacher tips, 2 giveaways (one on each of our blogs and one BIG one on the Primary Pack), and 1 freebie!
To enter our BIG giveaway, you need to head over to THE PRIMARY PACK first! As you “hop” through each of our blogs, you will collect a letter from each of us… 28 total. Those letters spell out a secret code that you need to enter our BIG giveaway! You will use the secret code to enter the rafflecopter on The Primary Pack at the end of the hop. You need to collect the letters from us IN ORDER, so please make sure that you start from the beginning of our hop. Click on the button below to head over to THE PRIMARY PACK and start our BACK TO SCHOOL BASH!!

If you haven’t heard of a Xyron Machine, then you don’t know what you’ve been missing. This is a teacher must-have item, and it has made labeling my classroom containers a breeze. My colleague introduced me to this amazing machine and I can’t tell you how many times I use it throughout the year. I buy the permanent adhesive refill cartridges for the machine. This machine turns your regular paper, cardstock, or construction paper into a sticker. It’s super sticky on one side and normal paper on the other. Pictured above is one of my binder covers that I place on the outside of their take-home binders. I simply laminate the paper, run it through my Xyron Machine, and peel off the paper from the Xyron film. After placing it on any surface it does not come off easily. If you’re looking for something to adhere your printed labels to your containers, this is the machine!

How awesome are these Quiet Critters? This is a perfect back to school classroom management idea for your classroom. As teachers, we sometimes want some quiet time to work one-on-one with a student or small group during independent practice. These little critters are perfect for this! Pass out a Quiet Critter to each child during independent work time. The students must be quiet during this time or they lose the privilege of having a quiet critter watch them work. This can also be used as a class reward! To make your Quiet Critters you will need the following materials:
– Pom Poms (Variety of Sizes)
– Googly Eyes
– Foam Sheets
– White Stamens
Use a glass/plastic jar or a metal bucket to store your Quiet Critters in. Check out my freebie below for a Quiet Critter Label in my TeachersPayTeachers Store. Happy crafting!

To help you with all your back to school needs I am giving away one $25 Amazon.com gift card! Enter the rafflecopter below for your chance to win. Remember – the more entries you complete, the more chances you have of winning!

August 30, 2015 at 5:38 pmBuy your own Scotch laminator for your classroom. It works great for letter or legal size paper items needing to be laminated. The 3mm laminating sheets are even thicker than the regular school laminating machine.

August 31, 2015 at 1:20 amWhat an exciting blog hop!! My back to school tip would be to have "Scrap Baskets" at your tables. This way when the kids are doing cutting activities, the scraps of paper don't go all over the floor or the table. It's like a mini garbage can for the table where the kids put all of their cutting scraps into. Then my table captain (the person responsible for the table supplies and collecting papers for the table) will empty out the basket at the end of the activity and put the basket away. Happy back to school time everyone:-)

August 31, 2015 at 3:48 amMy tips this year are to remember that I can't do everything in one day and to make sure I leave school at a reasonable time. It's important to take care of myself too! No one needs a burnt-out teacher.

August 31, 2015 at 6:16 amB2S Tip: Use velcro to attach desk tags! They are movable and the kids don't pick at them!
