Hi, everyone! December is definitely my favorite time of the year. As soon as Thanksgiving weekend is here, the classroom Christmas decorations come out of their holiday storage unit (an event I eagerly await all year)! I am very fortunate to be able to celebrate Christmas in my class, and I love to go all out too! When I say all out… I mean ALL OUT!
Last year, as a first year teacher, I spent a lot of money purchasing decorations for my classroom. It’s crazy how much decorations cost too! Ornaments, Christmas lights, a Christmas tree, stockings… I could go on forever! However, it seems like each year I buy more and more decorations for my room. That can’t be bad, right? Here are a couple pictures of my room during the month of December. Enjoy!
This is my reading “nook” – one of my FAVORITE parts of my room! The snowflakes that are hanging from the ceiling are from Dollar Tree!
I am probably most proud of my fireplace. Every child in the class has a stocking that I fill with goodies throughout the month of December. On the last day before Christmas break, my students get to take their goodies home!
Our elf named Chippie!
My dog, Chey, decided to come visit the classroom! She wasn’t a big fan of Santa.
How much are you able to decorate for Christmas? I take a lot of pride in my classroom as well as my students. I am truly blessed to have such incredible, support parents. I hope each and every one of you has a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!
